18 april: Imagine / EYE on Art: Fashion Framed

For the third consecutive year, Imagine will collaborate with EYE Film Museum to organise a special edition of EYE on Art. This time we turn the spotlight on two young Dutch fashion designers, who also happen to be filmmakers: Esther Dorhout Mees and Jacob Kok.

The creators will talk about their work in both disciplines, supported by screenings of the dream worlds from Dorhout Mees’ short films and Kok’s computer-generated virtual models and collections. Selected fragments  from fashion films in the EYE collection (with live piano music by Matteo Mijderwijk) will place their work in a historical context.

The evening will be presented by Marketa Uhlirova, director of the London Fashion in Film Festival. She is associated with Saint Martin’s College and author of numerous books and articles on the relationship between fashion and film.
